DIGITAL SYMPOSIUM FAQ
As in years past, your registration will give you full access to Sunstone's event on the Whova app. This year, in addition to all of Whova's other incredible features, you'll be able to watch sessions directly through the app. Sessions can be watched via phone, tablet, or computer.
Yes. Sessions will be live-streamed through the Whova app, and will require an internet connection to view.
Absolutely! While you watch a session, you'll be able to submit questions to the presenter to be answered after their presentation finishes.
Because sessions are still live, you'll need to set your schedule to catch sessions live and engage in the Q&As with the presenter. Sessions will be recorded and uploaded later to watch on demand, but for the best experience, you should plan your schedule around the sessions you don't want to miss.
Whova has implemented a "meetup" function to allow for exactly that! You're able to type messages to other attendees through the app and even request a video hangout! Video meetups are limited to 45 minutes, but are free of charge and can be set up as many times as you'd like. Meetups can be between 2 people, or within a group of as many as 12! These meetups are not visible to the rest of the conference attendees unless you invite them to join you.
All symposium sessions are in Mountain Standard Time. Please adjust your schedule to join us live!
Absolutely. Feel free to check out our Digital Symposium Guide here, and join us the week leading up to the symposium for one of the free live walkthroughs of the app and all of it's features. You can ask the trainer questions and get familiar with all Whova has to offer as a digital symposium platform.
Thank you for being part of our 2020 lineup! You should have received several emails with updates about presenting digitally. If you haven't received them, or if you still have questions, email Events Manager Grace Pool at Grace@Sunstone.org to get caught up.
