2015 Theology From the Margins Conference: Keynote Speech by Fatimah Salleh

On March 14, 2015 Dr. Fatimah Salleh gave a powerful speech about how our theology should come from the margins. She spoke about faith, racism, othering, and pulled on examples from Christ’s teachings.

Dr. Fatimah Salleh, the daughter of an African-American father and a Puerto-Rican and Malaysian mother, is currently working on a Masters of Divinity at Duke University. She has a PhD in Mass Communications from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is the mother of four and the wife of one self-proclaimed viking.

    This was the best conference I’ve ever attended, hands down. I just listened to Dr Salleh’s talk again last night with my husband. I just can’t believe how much power and grace and humility she packs into her love of the gospel. I’m inspired and in awe of her.
